Our focus is on the earlier diagnosis of cancer, improving diagnosis and treatment, and supporting people affected by cancer.

The North Central London Cancer Alliance is an NHS organisation that brings together patients,  hospital trusts, GPs, health service commissioners, and local authorities to improve cancer outcomes and care. We cover the  London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.

There are four main areas of work for the North Central London Cancer Alliance:

Prevention, awareness and screening

Education and information for our population.

Diagnosis and treatment

Pathways, guidelines, improving capacity and efficiency.

Personalised Cancer Care

Development of person-centred cancer treatment and follow-up.

Primary Care

Guidance and good practice, collaboration for innovation

COVID-19 and cancer care

During the COVID-19 pandemic our focus has been on ensuring that cancer services are maintained so patients receive the most appropriate diagnostics or treatment in a timely manner. We are working with central and local NHS organisations, independent sector healthcare facilities, charities and patient groups to maintain cancer services and minimise the negative effects of the pandemic.
